Hello doers of things!
Our Weekend Event Guide has been on a bit of a hiatus because we’re in-between sponsors. We’d still love to find a new sponsor (drop me a line!), but in the meantime I just couldn’t keep all these great events quiet any longer. Getting people to show up to stuff has been one of the core missions of BikePortland since Day One.
The other change since we last did one of these is that we now have an awesome event calendar. Please check it out and follow it so you can stay updated on the latest and greatest bike and bike-related happenings in the city. Our calendar includes the same wide range of stuff you see here on the Front Page — everything from advocacy meetings to races, industry parties, and so on.
Two especially notable events this week: The Portland Bike Swap is Sunday. This will be a great place to sell your stuff or pick up sweet parts for cheap. Also of note is Bike PSU’s first-ever, free bicycle education class. Bike PSU is doing great advocacy on campus and they’ve put together a quality program to teach adults how to ride — and be safe and fun doing it. Oh, and the Tweed Run!
Without further ado, below are the events for this coming weekend (taken directly from our calendar):
Saturday April 16th
