Our Weekend Event Guide is sponsored by Abus bike locks.
Welcome to (almost) the weekend. It goes without saying that it will be amazing because, well, as I’m sure you know already, the weather has finally turned to dry and warm.
Not only does the forecast look wonderful, but Filmed by Bike is here. Portland’s very own bike film fest kicks off with a big party and opening night screenings on Friday and features a whole weekend of bike-inspired, film-related fun.
Before you chill in the theater, there’s plenty of pedaling to do. Get all the details in our menu of rides and events below…

5 of 5 Art Show – 5 to 9:00 pm at The Athletic (925 NW 19th Ave)
The Athletic is run by two cycling aficionados who sell many of the socks you see in local pelotons. They also love pro basketball. This show will feature NBA-inspired posters from 10 artists. I also heard a rumor that River City Bicycle’s custom Trail Blazers bike will be there! More info here.
