Family Biking: It’s never been easier to bike to the cherry trees

On Sunday, my boys and I had the same idea as a lot of other Portlanders: visit the cherry blossoms in the Japanese American Historical Plaza. Then while biking home I realized Waterfront Park is incredibly family-friendly to reach by bike from the deepish southeast these days.

Glazing Sgraffito Platters : Before & After

Just finished glazing & loading a bunch of new pots for this weekend’s art fair invitational in Naperville… including a few of these new porcelain sgraffito platters that will be making their BIG ART FAIR DEBUT this weekend! Just a few pieces with the new sgraffito style, so come early!!! Here they are shown both bisqued & glazed… I’ll try to show a comparison photo after the glaze firing too!

Finishing up the latest batch of pitchers & mugs… stamped, trimmed and handled.
Now just finishing some colored slip accents… which will change color when soda-fired.

First another set of mugs ready to dry & bisque… before soda-firing!

And jugs… or in this case, medium pitchers… also painted with colored flashing slip accents, now drying and ready to bisque fire.
