Weekend Event Guide: Chefs Cycle Show, Surly invastion, illuminated bikes, and more

We love bike event flyers!

Here we go again with the weather. The forecast calls for yet another bout of snow and ice. It shouldn’t be too bad; but of course that’s what we thought last time.

Good thing we have several indoor events in the guide this weekend! And the fun starts tonight with our friends from Surly Bikes in Minneapolis invading one of our favorite haunts, Velo Cult.

Given the current condition of our republic, we recommend high doses of human contact, camaraderie and organizing. On that note, keep your eyes peeled for local town hall and other meetings with your elected representatives. We feature one with State Senator Michael Dembrow (District 23, NE Portland) on Saturday.

Have fun out there and keep an eye on the weather…

(By the way, you really need to check out our event calendar. It’s bangin’!)
